Adams State head coach Jarrell Harrison is stepping down, the program announced Monday.
The Grizzlies completed an 0-11 season with a 44-6 loss to South Dakota Mines on Saturday.
Adams State is a Division II school located in Alamosa, Colo. The Grizzlies compete in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.
Harrison joined the program in 2016 as running backs coach and a special teams assistant in 2016, was later moved to defensive backs coach, special teams coordinator and recruiting coordinator, and was promoted to head coach in 2021. He was the first Black head coach in program history.
"We would like to thank Coach Harrison for everything he has done for this program during his time here . I would like to express my sincere appreciation for his dedication to Adams State Football and I wish him the absolute best in his future endeavors," said Athletic Director Katelyn Smith.
