After a loss, Fran Brown shares ritual where he doesn't shower because he "doesn't deserve soap" (Shower)

Fran Brown may be young in his head coaching career, but he has Syracuse sitting pretty at a bowl eligible 6-3 in his first opportunity leading a program.

However, even just nine games into his head coaching tenure, he's already established rituals after wins and losses that he sticks to.

One of those he shared today, as the Orange are a few days removed from their 31-37 loss to Bill O'Brien and Boston College, and it has to do with how he handles when his team comes up short on the scoreboard.

For starters, he can't sleep in his own bed. Part of that is because he's devouring film and his mind is racing, but there's also a more compelling reason he doesn't join his wife in their bed.

"Honestly, I've got a ritual. When we lose, I don't even get in the shower until the next morning. I just be mad and brush my teeth. I don't deserve soap, and I don't deserve all that."

"There's a process that I follow every week - win, lose or draw. My only thing is, my wife, I can't sleep in the bed because I'm not going to get in the shower for that day because I'm just mad. I just brush my teeth, because that's what I have to do so you all don't say my breath stinks."

"I'm just kind of locked into certain things. I think you've got to earn the right to do certain things. So, you know, winners get washed. If I'm a loser, I just gotta wait a little bit."

You know someone with an eye for marketing is already taking parts of that quote to the pressers for some branded Syracuse gear.

With three games remaining, here's to hoping that means three showers and three nights in his own bed.

Syracuse wraps up their season with a trip to Cal before getting UConn and Miami at home.
