We're still a few weeks out from college football games kicking off, but we've already got a candidate for alternate uniform of the year.
When it comes to alternate uniforms, it's always tough to beat what each respective service academy does for the Army vs. Navy season finale, but this year, Air Force is making sure they are in the conversation as well.
These newly revealed AFSOC (Air Force Special Operations Command) uniforms feature a mean-looking winged dagger on the front of the uniform meant to represent "swift and silent mobilization of forces."
That's not where the swagger of these unis stop though.
The back bumper of the helmet features the AFSOC motto: Any Place. Any Time. Anywhere.
The dagger on the helmet also shows up down the length of the left leg of the pants, with some scarlet berets that honor the berets worn by combat controllers of the unit.
I'm a sucker for uniforms with a bit of an edge, like Northwestern's Gothic all-black look, and these certainly fit that same mold in their own respect.
Take a look at the video and a few pics of what Air Force has in store for their game against Navy on October 5th on CBS at Falcon Stadium.
