Arizona State makes a change at offensive coordinator (Beau Baldwin)

According to multiple reports this morning, offensive coordinator Beau Baldwin will not return at Arizona State.

Baldwin was in his first season on Kenny Dillingham's staff.

After struggling to a 1-2 start in their first three games of the season, Dillingham took over play calling responsibilities.

The staff worked collectively to overcome a number of injury issues and a razor thin offensive line as the season wore on.

The injuries that piled up forced Dillingham at one point in the season put out a call for "big bodies" that could contribute on their field goal / PAT unit.

A few weeks later, against UCLA, the Sun Devils rolled out a swinging gate setup for a double-digit amount of snaps to give them a fighting chance in a game they ended up winning against the odds.

Baldwin arrived in Tempe with an impressive resume, as he won an FCS national title as the head coach at Eastern Washington with an explosive offense back in 2010, compiling a 85-32 mark with three FCS semifinals trips during his time there.

He would go on to be the offensive coordinator at Cal for a few seasons before returning to the FCS level as the head coach at Cal Poly.

From 2020-22 Baldwin went 4-21 trying to rebuild the Cal Poly program before leaving to join Dillingham's staff in Tempe.
