Many moons ago I was a regular at one of those workout boot camps, and one day we did a plank contest. Yours truly lasted a minute and happily tapped out. By the 2-minute mark, all but two of us had dropped like flies. One finalist, a guy, was done by the 2:30 mark... but we didn't tell the lone survivor, a mom in her 40s with abs that would make Superman put on a shirt at the beach. She cruised past three minutes, four minutes and only when she'd cruised past the 5-minute mark did she realize she was the only one still planking.
Was it wrong of us to propagate this white lie upon Super Mom? Yes. But in the process, she gained a nice burn and the admiration of all her classmates.
Anyway, that mediocre story came to mind as I watched this video from Arizona State this morning.
As you'll see, Kenny Dillingham and company pulled the same prank on his guys, promising them early copies of EA Sports College Football 25 in exchange for pushing the limits of their midsections.
Hilarity ensued.
