Kirston Guerra, who's worked in recruiting at both the University of Texas and more recently in the Charlotte 49ers football program, is getting the opportunity to head up her own on-campus recruiting department.
Guerra is taking over as the director of on-campus recruiting at Army, with her arrival at West Point another strong addition for Jeff Monken's Black Knights program that has been among college football's most consistent winners since Monken's arrival.
Guerra worked in recruiting operations at the University of Texas, helping the Longhorns annually battle for the top classes in both the Big 12 Conference and all of college football.
She continued to grow her career with her work at Charlotte in both recruiting operations and on-campus recruiting, further adding to her skill-set.
Under Monken, Army has had recruiting recruiting directors and on-campus help earn on-field assistant coaching jobs, as well as land positions at other major college football programs.
The Black Knights, winners of 24 games since 2020, face quite the gauntlet in 2023.
After an opening tilt on the road at Louisiana-Monroe and then a home date with Delaware State, Army uncorks a brutal stretch that includes consecutive contests at UTSA, at Syracuse, home against Boston College and Troy before a mid-October voyage to reigning Southeastern Conference Western Division champion LSU, which is entering its second year under Brian Kelly.
The Black Knights also have their standard rivalry games against Air Force and Navy, as well as an engagement with Coastal Carolina.
