The Big Ten is BACK and week one is getting closer.
The Big Ten will kick the season off Friday, October 23rd at 8pm ET on the Big Ten Network with No. 16 Wisconsin taking on Illinois.
12pm ET will jump start Saturday as Rutgers will face off against Michigan State (BTN) and Nebraska will begin its season at Ohio State (Fox). This will be Michigan State head coach Mel Tucker's debut at the helm of the Spartans and Greg Schiano's return to Rutgers.
At 3:30pm ET Penn State will take on Indiana (FS1) and Iowa takes on Purdue.
In primetime, at 7:30pm ET Northwestern and Maryland will face off (BTN) and Michigan plays at Minnesota (ABC).
The Big Ten spent most of late summer and early fall at the center of COVID fueled "will they play, will they not play" controversy. In mid September the conference announced its return to the fall 2020 football season. A few days later it released its schedule.
The road to the return for the conference was long but we're excited to see some Big Ten games this fall.
As always, stay tuned to The Scoop.
