With three straight 9-4 seasons capped by three straight New Orleans Bowl wins, a share of the 2013 league crown, and a 25,000-plus 2013 attendance average (best of all returning Sun Belt schools), Louisiana-Lafayette is arguably the healthiest program in its league and one of the strongest of all non-Power Five conferences.

The expansion of Cajun Field should only make the Ragin' Cajuns stronger.

Here's a nice video update on the progress of Cajun Field, which takes capacity up to 38,000 (and thanks to a well-placed hill beyond the north end zone, expandable to 45,000), set to be ready by the Aug. 30 home opener. With in-state foes Southern and Louisiana Tech headed to Cajun Field in the first two weeks of the season, the Cajuns are expecting close to 45,000 in each of their first two games.
