Berj Najarian is a machine built to do one thing: manage the behind-the-scenes machinations of a Massachusetts-based football organization headed by a man named Bill.
After 24 years as Bill Belichick's right-hand man with the New England Patriots, he has accepted the chief of staff role on Bill O'Brien's Boston College staff, according to ESPN's Pete Thamel.
Information on Najarian is hard to come by. This writer couldn't even locate an archived bio of him on the Patriots' website, and he doesn't have a Wikipedia page. A (paywalled) Boston Globe profile compares him to Tom Hagen in The Godfather and Doug Stamper in House of Cards.
But those who know Najarian rave about him.
BC gets the most organized and efficient guy on the planet to serve as the chief of staff for football. Good hire. https://t.co/9zZv4iG5eo

As good of a human as you will find in the entire football industry. A truly great addition for BC.

O'Brien, of course, worked closely with Najarian as a Patriots assistant from 2007-11 and again in 2023.
