James Madison is set to name Chris Smith its offensive line coach, head coach Bob Chesney confirmed to the Harrisonburg (Va.) Daily News-Record.
Smith replaces Damian Wroblewski, who had been retained by Chesney as associate head coach for offense and offensive line coach, but joined Maryland's staff as assistant offensive line coach earlier this month.
Chesney and Smith spent five seasons together at Holy Cross. The HC graduate was part of the staff when Chesney arrived in 2018 and graduated to titles of run game coordinator and recruiting coordinator along the way. He spent 2022 was the Crusaders' offensive coordinator before taking the assistant offensive line job for the New York Giants in 2023.
