Just after his team’s win over Sam Houston State last weekend, Bob Davie was hospitalized after “a serious medical incident.”
The school later added that coach Davie was recovering and “doing well.”
With Notre Dame on the docket this weekend in a homecoming game of sorts for the Lobos head coach, who led the Irish from 1995-2001, Davie has released an update on his health, including his status for the game this weekend.
Below is the statement:
Coach Davie did come to the office today. Great sign….
All of us are so thankful to have Coach Davie back in team meeting today! Coach is on the recovery and we are grateful for UNMH, our training room staff and doctors! #GoLobos @UNMLoboFB pic.twitter.com/OPsAGCw57W
