The stadium that houses the infamous blue turf in Boise, Idaho will go by a new name, for the foreseeable future at least.

Boise State beat reporter Brian Murphy was at the press conference, and his Twitter feed presented an interesting play-by-play of the highly anticipated reveal.

For those unfamiliar, Albertson's is a popular grocery store chain out West and includes locations in Texas, New Mexico, Washington, California, Montana, Wyoming, North Dakota, and of course, Idaho.

As Murphy points out, the deal spans 15 years and is worth $12.5 million and still has to be approved by the State Board of Education at a meeting next month. Once approved, the deal includes the Albertson's name on two spots on the field, on top of the stadium, a banner on the outside of the stadium, and the large banner that will read "Albertson's Stadium: Home of The Blue" outside of the south end zone, as pictured in the tweet below.

The Idaho Statesman points out that the added revenue from the sponsorship will help the athletic department cover cost-of-attendance scholarships, which is estimated to cost an additional $687,000 per year moving forward.
