Boston College has decided to bring back some of their retro uniforms and logo back.
These aren't alternative uniforms to be worn once or twice a year. The program notes the uniform change and change to the logo are "permanent" for select games. BC previously brought these replica uniforms out in 2015 for their showdown in Fenway Park against Notre Dame.
In a video, BC Football showed off the return of the style of uniform worn back in the Doug Flutie heyday of the program when Boston College was undoubtedly considered among the top tier of college football programs.
Flutie cleaned up in the 1984 award circuit, winning the Maxwell, Walter Camp, Davey O'Brien, Sporting News Player of the Year, unanimous All American honors to go along with the Heisman Trophy. That year the Eagles finished 10-2 and ranked number 5 in the country at the end of the year.
While they brought back the uni design and logo, I'm glad they left those sleeves in the 80's where they belong.
