Brian Bohannon, controversially fired earlier this week, quietly crashed the pregame walk to support all his former players (Kennesaw State)

After the week Brian Bohannon has had, no one would blame him if he decided to lay low at home, or on a beach somewhere and support his former team on TV.

That's what most coaches would do.

But most coaches didn't build a program from scratch into an FCS playoff team, winning 11 or more games four times in seven seasons before making the jump to the FBS level.

After being fired earlier this week in their inaugural season as a full-fledged FBS program in Conference USA for starting 1-6, Kennesaw State released a statement saying that Bohannon had decided to step down. Those that know Bohannon, including his own son, took to social media to say walking away isn't how the veteran head coach is wired. He wouldn't do that.

A few hours passed before Bohannon set the record straight. He was fired. He did not, in any way shape of form, step away from his guys.

Again. Most guys wouldn't do that.

That brings us to today. Where is Bohannon as the players he recruited and cares so much for are preparing to take on Sam Houston State?

Well, he's lining the path as the players do their pregame walk to Fifth Third Bank Stadium, greeting what looks to be every single Owl and supporting them from a new vantage point.

How about this!?!?!
