Butch Jones hires veteran Big Ten offensive line coach at Arkansas State (Arkansas State)

One of the key positions on Butch Jones' staff has been filled, according to a report this morning.

Bruce Feldman tweets that veteran Big Ten offensive line coach Matt Limegrover is joining the Red Wolves staff as offensive line coach.

Limegrover is a college coaching veteran, who spent the past decade-plus in the Big Ten.

From 2011-15 he was the assistant head coach / offensive line coach at Minnesota under Jerry Kill, and then in 2016 he joined the Penn State staff where he coached the offensive line until 2019. He spent this past season as an analyst on Jim Harbaugh's staff at Michigan.

Jones and Limegrover do share a coaching stop. In the late 90's the two worked on the same Ferris State (D-II - MI) staff, where Limegrover worked with the offensive line and Jones was the offensive coordinator.

The Red Wolves offensive staff continues to take shape. Jones originally had AJ Milwee on board as the team's offensive coordinator, but we shared yesterday that Steve Sarkisian swooped in after taking the Texas job and has Milwee set to come on board in Austin as the Longhorns quarterbacks coach. Sources tell FootballScoop Jones was vetting new offensive coordinator candidates yesterday.

Jones has tabbed Derrick Lett to work with the receivers, and former A-State quarterback Ryan Aplin to work with the running backs so far. Head here to see more from the FBS Staff Tracker.
