Hosting special guests, including former All-Pro wideout Terrell Owens and K,J. Hamler of the Denver Broncos, Deion Sanders again worked his first-year Colorado squad through preseason camp in advance of the team's opener next month at TCU.
And after Sanders watched teammates walk away from their teammates during a practice-field scuffle, Coach Prime blistered his players in a moment captured on the Buffaloes' in-house video production from Deion Sanders Jr.
"He just fought. I seen two of y'all walking off over there, and you got a key teammate fighting," Sanders tells a huddle of players. "Where do they do that at? Where do they at?"
As players respond, "Nowhere," Sanders levels his expectations for any future instance.
"If one fight, we all fight; you understand that?," Sanders asked. "I don't want to see y'all walking off when somebody's fighting. Never again!"
Sanders also shared with his players and staff during a team meeting about recently getting the hardware removed from his foot after surgery.
The former Jackson State head coach then likened that discomfort to what the Buffaloes are certain to face in 2023.
"I had to go through this pain, I had to go through the heartache, I had to go through the surgeries," Sanders said, "I had to go to the disbelief, I had to go through the doubt, I had to go through all this stuff to get to where I am now. ...
"We're going to deal with some pain, we're going to deal with some pins that we got to pull out for you to continue to chase that dream and that goal and that ambition."
