2018 Changes
Out are Jimbo Fisher and all the assistant coaches other than Odell Haggins, who has been with the program over two decades and will now work with the defensive tackles, and in is Willie Taggart.
Taggart was able to pull Harlon Barnett away from Michigan State to be his defensive coordinator (and he rewarded him by making him the highest paid assistant coach Florida State history), as well as prying Walt Bell from Maryland to run the offense and coach the quarterbacks.
A few of Taggart's staff came with him from Oregon, including Donte' Pimpleton (RBs), and Raymond Woodie (OLBs). David Kelly also joins Taggart from Eugene and will make the transition from assistant director of football recruiting operations to an on-field role working with the wide receivers. One more key addition also joining Taggart is head strength coach Irele Oderinde.
Tenth Assistant
Taggart brought in Alonzo Hampton, who had worked in a defensive analyst role for him at Oregon, to fill the role of the Seminoles tenth assistant. He will work with the defensive backs and be a special teams coach.
