2018 Changes
In short, everything. Sumlin was on the hottest of hot seats after the UCLA collapse and was officially let go after the LSU loss on Thanksgiving weekend. The long-awaited and much-speculated Jimbo Fisher pursuit went off without a hitch, to the supreme shock of everyone not in maroon.

Fisher was hired Dec. 1, and his staff is a mix of Florida State lieutenants, Texas A&M holdovers and big name coordinator hires. Tim Brewster, Dameyune Craig and Jay Graham followed from Florida State, and Terry Price and Jim Turner were retained from Kevin Sumlin's staff. Darrell Dickey was hired from Memphis and Mike Elko from Notre Dame. Maurice Linguist was hired away from Minnesota to handle defensive backs, and Bradley Dale Peveto was picked up to handle linebackers. Jerry Montgomery joined the staff as defensive line coach, then left to re-join the Green Bay Packers, leaving Fisher still looking for a running backs coach and a defensive tackles coach. Special teams duties have yet to be assigned as well.

Jimbo hired Jerry Schmidt away from Oklahoma to lead the Aggies' strength program and brought his off the field general Mark Robinson with him from Florida State. The Aggies are still looking for someone to head up recruiting we hear.
