Building on the program's momentum and continuing to fortify his staff, College of the Sequoias head coach Travis Burkett has added Allen Perryman to the Giants' defensive staff.
A former Sacramento State letter-winner, Perryman is going to serve as the Giants' defensive backs coach.
Considered a bit of a “hometown hero” in the area from his time growing up in Lemoore, California, Perryman is someone Burkett believes is set to be a high-riser in the collegiate coaching ranks.
Perryman's addition to the Giants' staff also comes with a strong recommendation from Sacramento State assistant Cherokee Valeria, the program's defensive pass game coordinator and secondary coach.
Perryman played at Sacramento State through the 2019 season and graduated in 2020.
Burkett has been reshaping the College of the Sequoias' staff in recent weeks, replacing some coaches following their moves to better opportunities and revamping the Giants' coaching roster.
The Giants outlined nine roles on Burkett's staff last week, as detailed here.
