James Madison has hired Elon head coach Curt Cignetti.

Cignetti has a six year agreement to be the new head coach. Greg Madia tweets that Cignetti’s deal is $425,000 per year. In two seasons as head coach at Elon, Cignetti is 14-9. At IUP, his teams won 9+ games 4 times in 6 seasons.

Prior to taking over as head coach at IUP for the 2011 season, Cignetti served as Nick Saban’s receivers coach for four years at Alabama. Prior to going to Alabama he has spent seven seasons at NC State.
