With an impressive string of 12 straight seasons with double-digit wins from 2011-2022, including two national titles, Dabo Swinney has been one of the top coaches in college football for over a decade.
By and large, that's a good problem to have, until you go 9-4 like the Tigers did in 2023 and fans think the sky is falling.
After a loss to Louisville this past weekend dropped them to 6-2 on the year, Dabo went in to do his civic duty and vote today when he encountered a slight hiccup.
Poll workers at the site told Dabo, whose real name is William, they wouldn't be able to give him a ballot.
Dabo joked at his presser today recalling the experience today "Dang, they done voted me out of the state. Lost another game. We're 6-2 and 5-1 and they've done shipped me off."
Swinney was told their records showed that he already voted, to which he assured them he had not yet voted.
After they shared an early ballot was issued for him, and it was used to vote, Dabo began to realize the mixup was because Will, his oldest son, voted last week and they must have skipped the birthdate verification and the elder William was counted as the voter.
He goes on to explain that what should have taken ten minutes took about an hour, and next thing he knew he was being informed of a hearing for later this week to resolve the matter.
Good news is Dabo was able to vote via a paper ballot, and both Swinney votes will be able to count on Friday after the hearing.
Hear Dabo share the story in the clip.

Believes it was caused by them sharing the same name.
