As if Colorado hadn't captured enough headlines with the addition of Deion Sanders as their new head coach and their controversial roster overhaul that everyone from Pitt's Pat Narduzzi to Oklahoma's Brent Venables had a hot take on, last week the Buffs formally bounced from the Pac-12 for the Big 12 and once again dominated the national conversation around college football.
Today Oregon held their own media day and Ducks head coach Dan Lanning took the podium and talked about his new contract extension and his desire to be in Eugene for the long haul.
The real moment that moved the need though came at the end of his, after Lanning was asked for his thoughts on Colorado leaving the league.
Lanning's response was the mic drop moment of any conference's media day thus far.
“Not a big reaction, I’m trying to remember what they won to effect this conference when they were part of it. I don’t remember.”
"Do you remember them winning anything? I don't remember them winning anything."
Colorado will still play their Pac-12 schedule this fall, meaning a Lanning vs. Prime tilt is on tap for September 23rd in Eugene.
