After a disappointing 3-9 season, Dave Aranda is reportedly expected to return to Waco next fall.
A number of outlets are reporting the news.
The program is just two years removed from jumping from a 2-7 initial season under Aranda to a Big 12 championship season in 2021 where they won the Sugar Bowl and finished an impressive 12-2.
However, since that breakout season, Aranda has gone a combined 9-16.
Heading into this season Aranda made significant coordinator changes, parting ways with both defensive coordinator Ron Roberts and special teams / safeties coach Ronnie Wheat.
Set to return for a fifth season, Aranda is 23-25 overall heading into a critical year to show progress and it's safe to say some significant staff changes are likely.
