Colorado's spring football game again fell victim to Mother Nature.
A spring snow shower descended on Boulder, Denver and the state's Front Range region.
A crowd that Deion Sanders had hoped would repeat its Folsom Field sell-out of a year ago was announced as officially just more than 28,000.
"We are built to handle adversity," Coach Prime said after his second spring exhibition atop the Buffaloes program. "We give them messages every day in the building. ... We're trying to raise men.
"We already know what we have. That (spring game) was just an opportunity for our fan base to see us do some things."
Sanders received multiple recruiting-related postgame questions, including what his message is to prospects and their parents who might be curious if Coach Prime wants to become Coach NFL Prime in a year when his quarterback/son Shedeur and defensive back/son Shilo Sanders could be playing in the NFL.
He doubled down on his commitment to Colorado.
"I tell them the truth. I'm a father, not a baby-daddy," Deion Sanders said. "I don't follow my kids. I pave roads for my kids. I build generational wealth for my kids. I lead my kids. I don't follow my kids. So, I do not plan on following my kids to the NFL.
"But I'm thankful, I'm glad that you already pretty much put them in the NFL. That means you believe in them. But I'm not that kind of father. I have work to do here, I absolutely love it here. It's beautiful here. Especially yesterday (before the spring storm).
I'm serious, I absolutely love it here, man. I really do, and I would never think a young brother from the south would love it in this part of the country, but I do."
Coach Prime said not only does he love it in the Boulder area, his first time living in a region with full winters but said many of his coaches do as well; he also reiterated his mission is to bring winning back to the Colorado program.
"(Warren) Sapp, we talk about it every day," Sanders said. "He's driving to the mountains and doing things and taking pictures and just loving the snow. I want to get out more and do more things.
"I don't really fly fish, but I've been known to be fly while I fish. I want my own line of jet skis, which we are working on.
"I love everything about this part of the country and the fan base that we have here. I just want to bless you with a tremendously successful team, I really do. That's my heart."
Coach Prime said the program already has elevated expectations within the Buffaloes roster.
"The progress that we've made is another caliber of player that's playing," he said. "A player that truly expects to go on to the next level, meaning the NFL. They expect to be drafted Thursday, Friday or (Saturday) and not free agency, although that's an avenue as well.
"These young men want to practice, to have each other's back. They want the physicality. They want all the smoke, so to speak. I love what we're building."
And his message to recruits?
"I don't sell anything because I don't have anything to sell," Deion Sanders said. "... If you want it, come and get it. We don't sugarcoat anything, we're not going to baby you, we don't hold your hand. We have 127 years of NFL experience up under this roof. We are a tremendous navigational system to the game that you want to play.
"We don't talk about any other college, any other university, any other coach; that's a rule here. We don't put anybody down to come up."
