The two biggest sources of fascination for Pac-12 media days will not be present at this week's event.
The Pac-12 previously announced its long-awaited TV contract will not be signed in time for the conference's media days. The Pac-12 first announced it would pursue a new TV deal, its first without USC and UCLA, on July 5, 2022.
Then, on Wednesday, Colorado announced Deion Sanders will not make it to Las Vegas.
Colorado's first-year head coach is scheduled for a routine follow-up from his last procedure on Thursday and will not be permitted to travel. Defensive coordinator Charles Kelly will represent the team instead.
Colorado opens its season Sept. 2 at TCU.
