ESPN will feature the Coaches Film Room for the National Title game (Film room)

For the 2019 National title game, ESPN decided to scrap the Coaches Film Room segment, much to the chagrin of coaches everywhere who had grown to really enjoy it.

The popular segment was brought back last year, and will be featured again this year as part of ESPN's MegaCast coverage.

This year, the coaches that will be breaking down the action will include former Auburn head coach and current SEC Network analyst Gene Chizik, Wake Forest head coach Dave Clawson, Liberty head coach Hugh Freeze, and North Carolina A&T's Sam Washington.

This year's lineup features a few coaches that have a history facing Saban (Chizik and Freeze) but no obvious connections to coaches with insight on game planning for the Buckeyes.

In years past, coaches that have done the Film Room segment include Herm Edwards, Gary Patterson, PJ Fleck, Mike Norvell, Mack Brown, and Mike Gundy, among others.

Other features of the MEgaCast that will interest coaches include the SkyCast view, where Jason Fitz and Mike Golic Jr. will provide commentary while the camera provides a view from above and behind the offense, very much like a drone's angle.

ESPN notes one new feature this year fully embracing social media, sharing that they will "have a number of social media initiatives around the game, including viewers being able to receive a real-time photo from one of ESPN’s many cameras live during game action. Fans can tweet #CFPTwitterCam and they will instantly receive a photo in response from one of ESPN’s social media channels."

Here's the release of the MegaCast coverage options from ESPN.
