Everything you need to know about the breakdown of NFL rosters

The average NFL player is 26 years and two months old. He stands 6-feet, one and one-sixth inches tall, and weighs 246.78 pounds.

And he probably played in the SEC.

The NFL released a detailed breakdown of its opening day rosters on Wednesday, including a ranking of the top talent-producing colleges. LSU leads the way with 38, followed by USC (37), Alabama (36), Georgia (34), Florida (33), Florida State (33), Miami (31), California (29), Ohio State (29), Notre Dame (28), Tennessee (28), and Wisconsin (27).

If you want to know which schools can rightfully claim to be Defensive Tackle U, or Tight End U, here you go:

Additionally, the oldest team in the NFL is the Chicago Bears with an average age of 27.08 years. The youngest team is the St. Louis Rams at 25.15. The league's tallest team? The Arizona Cardinals. The shortest? Cleveland Browns. Heaviest? Indianapolis Colts. Lightest? The world champion Seattle Seahawks.

I'd encourage you to check out the entire release, and an accompanying piece on where NFL quarterbacks come from.
