FIU cancels game against Marshall due to COVID

Marshall announced this afternoon on twitter that their game against Florida International this weekend has now been cancelled.

FIU had to cancel due to a lack of available scholarship players. This is part of Conference USA's guidelines regarding the virus.

The schools have not yet announced a possible reschedule date as neither have availability in their schedules at this time. The conference however has pushed its championship game back by 13 days in order to allow more time for postponed games to be made up if necessary.

FIU also had to postpone its October 17 game against Charlotte because of an increase in positive tests. This is the 3rd scheduled Conference USA game that has been cancelled this season. Marshall has already experienced several schedule changes due to COVID, including the herd's October 3rd game against Rice that was cancelled.
