FIU reportedly loses offensive line coach to NFL opportunity (greg austin)

Greg Austin was tabbed as FIU's offensive line coach and run game coordinator heading into the 2022 season and brought with him an impressive resume that included a previous stop with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Now he's reportedly headed back to the NFL ranks.

Matt Zenitz tweets tonight that Austin is joining the Jaguars staff as assistant offensive line coach. (Update: A source tells us Austin is indeed joining the Jaguars, but not as assistant offensive line coach.)

He previously worked in the same role for the Eagles earlier in his career.

Before joining the FIU staff, Austin had been the offensive line coach for Scott Frost at both Nebraska and and UCF.

In Philly, Austin held the assistant offensive line coach title for three seasons with the Eagles.

Before the jump to the NFL, Austin served as an intern and then graduate assistant on staff at Oregon under Chip Kelly, before leaving Eugene to join him in Philly.
