Florida has made some questionable decisions in the past when it comes to alternate uniforms.
Remember these gator-skin inspired ones, for instance?
Well Billy Napier's squad will be rolling out some new alternates, and these are a first for the Gators in the best possible way.
Florida will go black-on-black-on-black, wearing black jerseys for the first time in program history, to honor members of the armed forces, veterans, and local first responders this fall.
The jerseys will be worn in The Swamp when the team takes on Arkansas on November 4th.
Each player's nameplate will display one of five words "that are synonymous with the principles embodied by those who serve," the school's release shares.
Those words were chosen by a representative of each branch that the team is honoring, and are Commitment, Courage, Excellence, Honor and Integrity.
Personally, I'm always a fan of black-on-black.
Take a look at these.
