FootballScoop Weekend Primer: College Football Week 13 with all eyes on Indiana-Ohio State, Army-Notre Dame (College Football Week 13)

Week 13.

Lucky, or unlucky?

We shall see soon enough.

In the bi-coastal Big Ten, Indiana puts its perfect season and storybook dreams on the line at one-loss Ohio State, which actually needs the win much more so than the Hoosiers.

Yes, Indiana's strength of schedule is that of wet, single-ply toilet paper. And yes, Indiana needs to show well in this contest to validate its first 10 wins.

But Ohio State is almost certainly out of the College Football Playoff, or sweating through Selection Sunday hoping for a No. 11 seed, if it loses this game.

It won't.

But what about Ohio State's little brother, Penn State? Could the Nittany Lions get dammed up at Minnesota? PJ Fleck's Golden Gophers have a history of scoring big wins, especially at home, and they've already dispatched USC there this season.

It might be the most compelling game barely getting any attention.

Of course, in the Bronx, undefeated Army puts its hopes and dreams on the line against one-loss Notre Dame, which also would be evicted from the CFP if it loses this contest.

Army is more talented than perhaps at any point in Jeff Monken's 11 years, and Monken is an elite program-builder.

Notre Dame, though, is too explosive on both sides of the ball.

Can home teams Auburn, Florida or Oklahoma spell disaster for CFP hopefuls Texas A&M, Ole Miss and Alabama in the best the SEC has to offer this weekend?

Lane Kiffin's Rebels are playing their best ball, and Alabama is tracking for an SEC Championship appearance; don't count out Hugh Freeze's Plainsmen.
