Former BC coach calls current BC team "embarrassing" (Boston College)

Boston College lost to Florida State 45-7 on Friday night. It was the Eagles' 14th loss in their last 15 ACC games, and their 15th straight ACC game scoring 21 points or fewer.

The loss also inspired this tweet:

Jagodzinski's tweet jolts to memory a different time for Boston College football. Jags, now an assistant at Georgia State, went 20-8 as the Eagles' head coach from 2007-08 -- including rising as high as No. 2 and finishing No. 10 in the '07 AP poll -- but was fired for interviewing for the New York Jets' head coaching job.

BC promoted defensive coordinator Frank Spaziani to replace Jagodzinski. He was fired in 2012 after posting a 22-29 record in four full seasons, and Steve Addazio is now 21-26 in his fourth season as Spaziani's replacement.

Boston College season-by-season

The Eagles close this season with Connecticut at home and a trip to Wake Forest. They'll need to win both to reach a bowl game.
