Joseph Boletepeli, a former NC State defensive lineman in 2018 and 2019, has been arrested and charged with misdemeanor stalking and threatening head coach Dave Doeren.
According to ESPN, the arrest came following texts sent from Boletepeli to Doeren where he said "Imma get him I promise. Dave Doeren and the rest."
While he started his career at NC State, appearing in nine games over two seasons after coming out of high school as a three-star recruit out of Raliegh, Boletepeli would transfer to Maryland for the 2020 season.
Boletepeli was seen on several occasions near the NC State football facility, and his threatening text messages extended to other members of the staff as well, according to the report.
