Fresno State Staff Tracker (2019-2020) (Fresno State)

After three season leading the program, Jeff Tedford surprised many with the decision to step down back in early December after going 4-8. Tedford later cited medical concerns as his reason for stepping away.

Fresno State's search focused on former offensive coordinator Kalen DeBoer early on, as DeBoer - as the offensive coordinator at Indiana - helped the Hoosier's to their best season in over two decades. DeBoer spent just one season in Bloomington, and prior to that was the offensive coordinator at Fresno State for two seasons, helping lead an impressive turnaround early in Tedford's tenure.

Before becoming a Division I coordinator at FCS Southern Illinois and then Eastern Michigan, DeBoer went 67-3 as the head coach at Sioux Falls (NAIA - SD) where he led the team to three national titles in five seasons.

Just over a week after the job opened, DeBoer was announced as the new head coach of the program.

DeBoer opted to retain a handful of guys (Sapolu, Moore, Grubb, Williams), was able to hire away a solid FCS coordinator (Schmidt), hired away a coach from perennial Mountain West power Boise State (Marks), and filled a few other roles with guys he coached with previously.

In early February, DeBoer made his final two hires (Creighton and Brown) to complete his on-field staff.

Salary information will be updated as it become available.
