Fittingly, the new "Traditions" kits honor Georgia Southern's many traditions. GATA ("Get After That Ass") is printed on the right sleeve of the undershirt, and "One More Time" is emblazoned on the back bumper of the helmet. Both were favorite phrases of program patriarch Erk Russell. The right side of the helmet showcases Georgia Southern's old Eagle logo, and the left side features the traditional number.
"For this year's Homecoming, we designed an alternate uniform that honors Georgia Southern University's traditions with a focus on the future," AD Tom Kleinlein of the uniforms. "In creating a new alternate uniform every year, we're building a new tradition."
Georgia Southern will wear their new uniforms for the Homecoming game Saturday versus Idaho.
