Over the weekend, sources confirmed to FootballScoop that Brent Key has added a former in-state coordinator to the Georgia Tech staff.
Former Georgia State offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Trent McKnight is heading to Atlanta as the new receivers coach for the Yellow Jackets.
Multiple outlets have reported the same.
McKnight spent the past seven seasons as a part of the Georgia State staff, earning a promotion to offensive coordinator prior to the 2022 season.
A Broyles Award nominee during the 2020 season, McKnight previously coached the Panthers wide receivers for his first five seasons with the team.
A veteran offensive assistant, McKnight also has previous assistant and passing game coordinator experience at Samford (FCS - AL).
