Glenn Spencer, who is going into his first season calling the defense on Lane Kiffin's FAU staff, is a college coaching veteran with nearly three decades of experience at the college level spanning stops at West Georgia (D-II), Oklahoma State, and most recently, as the defensive coordinator at Charlotte.
Over those years, Spencer has surely seen the game of football change significantly, and he's also seen the evolution of the recruit over that time with the popularity of social media and recruiting sites. Now, it seems like no recruit can go on a visit or narrow down their top choices and then commit without a movie-like production announcement, a Photoshop graphic, or something on social media at the very least.
Today, Spencer shared something on social media that looks to be his attempt at having a little fun with the millennial recruit's need to put everything on social media. Lane Kiffin relayed an emoji response to convey how he felt about his defensive coordinator's tweet as well
