Each week, every head coach in the American, Conference USA, MAC, Mountain West and Sun Belt has the opportunity to vote his belief on the best teams among the Group of 5.
Boise State retained their No. 1 spot as they head into the Mountain West Championship game vs. UNLV Friday night. The most interesting part of the poll sits just below, where No. 2 Army and No. 3 UNLV sit with nearly identical votes.
No. 4 Memphis beat No. 5 Tulane this weekend, and has jumped them in the poll. Tulane takes on Army in the American's championship game Friday night.
Also on Friday night, No. 11 Western Kentucky plays a re-match with No. 9 Jacksonville State for the C-USA championship after the Hilltoppers upset the Gamecocks last Saturday. No. 7 Ohio and No. 9 Miami (Ohio) battle for the MAC title on Saturday afternoon, and No. 6 Louisiana hosts No. 8 Marshall for the Sun Belt championship on Saturday evening.
During the season, coaches voting will remain anonymous.
