Each week, every head coach in the American, Conference USA, MAC, Mountain West and Sun Belt has the opportunity to vote his belief on the best teams among the Group of 5.
This week, the strength at the top of the Mountain West is evidenced by UNLV and Boise State being voted the top two spots. JMU demolishing North Carolina in Chapel Hill was a highlight of the weekend for many and Army and Navy are both playing incredibly well.
Athlon Sports college football senior writer Dan Lyons shared, “Week 4 showed the depth of the Group of 5, with Navy and Western Kentucky scoring huge wins to join the rankings. No. 2 Boise State’s game against 4-0 Washington State and No. 1 UNLV vs. No. 11 Fresno State will be must-watch games with serious Playoff ramifications this week.”
During the season, coaches voting will remain anonymous.
