Harvard (FCS - MA) was reportedly down to their final four head coaching candidates earlier this week, and now appear to have their choice.
According multiple reports this morning, Rutgers tight ends coach Andy Aurich is expected to be the new head coach of the Crimson after four seasons with the Scarlet Knights.
Aurich was hired by Greg Schiano as offensive line coach in 2020, and spent two seasons in that role before moving to running backs in 2022. He moved to tight ends before last fall.
He brings previous experience in the Ivy League as a former associate head coach / offensive coordinator / offensive line coach at Princeton. He also coordinated the special teams at Princeton before stepping into the offensive play caller role.
Aurich is also a Princeton graduate who spent a season in the NFL as a defensive assistant with Schiano and the Bucs.
He takes over for longtime head coach Tim Murphy, who spent over three decades with the program.
