High school coach issues a challenge to all programs: "Put your money where your mouth is" (video)

Jim Walker is the head coach of the Redlands HS (CA) Terrier football program, and he's sick of teams wearing pink and saying it's for breast cancer awareness.

He wants programs to put their money where their mouth is, and he's stepping up to the plate to do the same.

For every pink item that his team wears on the field during the month of October, Walker is donating $3 to the Cancer Society and cancer research and challenges all programs to do the same. Coach Walker also calls out their rival, and next week's opponent, Citrus Valley HS in the process to answer the call.

We all know someone affected by cancer, so I love this idea and would love to see it catch fire with programs across the country, like the #IceBucketChallenge did for ALS months ago.

Great idea for an excellent cause here coach Walker. I tip my cap to you and your program. If your program decides to answer the challenge, send us some pictures or video (mail@footballscoop.com) and quick backstory and we'll help to spread the good word.
