A day after their third losing campaign in five seasons, and a 2-7 league mark in their first season as a Big 12 member, Houston decided to part ways with Dana Holgorsen.
Holgo went 31-28 overall, with his best season coming in 2021 when they finished 12-2.
Located in one of the hottest recruiting areas in the country, Houston landed on Tulane's Willie Fritz, a coach that has won at every level of college football, as their new leader.
