Hugh Freeze has tested positive for COVID

Liberty has announced today that head coach Hugh Freeze has tested positive for COVID.

Freeze received the positive test earlier this week and has been experiencing mild symptoms and has been self-isolating since.

The Flames had to cancel their big game against Coastal Carolina last week after a number of positive COVID cases. Liberty ended their season 9-1.

He joins a number of other FBS head coaches that tested positive for the virus during the season including Nick Saban, Mike Norvell, Sam Pittman, and Les Miles, among a handful of others.
