Hugh Freeze and Liberty will soon have an impressive new locker room
As former Ole Miss head coach Hugh Freeze leads Liberty into their second season among the FBS ranks this fall, and his first fall leading the program, they'll be doing it with plans for an impressive new weight room on the horizon.
When the 2018 season wrapped up, a $25 million renovation project began on the Williaams Football Operations Center that is scheduled to be completed in early 2020. The renovation plans will add an additional 18,000 square feet to work with on top of the over 65,000 square feet that it currently has.
According to a press release the school shared, the school plans some pretty impressive modernizations to the locker room that has a capacity for 122 players as well as some "dynamic graphic arts packages."
Timeline for the project is to have the new locker room and training room done before the 2019 season kicks off. Liberty went 6-6 last season, their first as an FBS member, and enter the first season under Hugh Freeze and his new staff this fall.
