Idaho inks Jason Eck to contract extension (FCS)

Idaho has announced a contract extension for Jason Eck, who enters his third season leading the Vandals program this fall.

Eck is now inked through the 2028 season.

In his first two seasons leading the team, he has led the Vandals to back-to-back playoff appearances and a 16-9 overall record.

Last fall he led the Vandals to an appearances in the FCS quarterfinals as well as an upset over Nevada. 

In addition to winning 64% of his games, he has an impressive 12-4 record in Big Sky play, which ranks among the best two-year conference records in program history.

Eck also has three wins against top five opponents, and he's 5-3 against ranked teams in his tenure thus far.

On the recruiting trail, Eck and his staff have put together back-to-back top 10 recruiting classes among the FCS ranks to set up a bright future.

Eck and the Vandals will open the 2024 season against Oregon at Autzen Stadium on August 31st.
