Sources: Idaho State (FCS) head coach Mike Kramer has been dismissed

Sources tell FootballScoop that head coach Mike Kramer has been dismissed at Idaho State (FCS).

Kramer, who just finished his sixth season leading the program, accumulated a record of 18-50 with the Bengals. His best finish came in 2014 with an 8-4 record, and outside of that he led the program to finishes of 2-9, 1-10, 3-9, 2-9, and 2-9.

Prior to leading the Idaho State program, Kramer served as the head coach at Eastern Washington from 1994-1999, and then Montana State from 2000-2006. He took the reigns at Idaho State in 2011 after one season as an assistant at Washington State in 2010.

With Spring ball set to begin in just over a week, on April 6th, a source tells FootballScoop it is likely much of the staff will be retained. Will update...

Update> The school has announced that Rob Phenicie will return as head coach. Phenicie, who had recently been promoted to offensive coordinator, had just days ago left the program to join the staff at Northern Iowa. In making the announcement, ISU stated it as Coach Kramer has "retired effective immediately".
