Jamey Chadwell has inked a contract extension at Coastal Carolina (Jamey Chadwell)

After much speculation over the last few days, Coastal Carolina has now announced that they've signed Jamey Chadwell to a contract extension.

The extension locks up Chadwell, who has the program sitting at 11-0 with a top 15 national ranking and their first berth in the Sun Belt title game, with the Chanticleers through the 2027 season.

In the release from the school, Coastal Carolina shares that they're committing to some significant changes with the extension.

The release reads, in part:

"Chadwell's potential annual contract value, including all incentives met, places him atop the Sun Belt Conference and among the upper echelon of FBS. The deal also features a comprehensive commitment to the total football program including investment into assistant coaches and support staff, more robust incentive structure, and strategic investment toward key infrastructure and facility needs, specifically supported through private financial support."

"I appreciate the commitment and support from Dr. DeCenzo, Joe Moglia, Dr. Benson, and our administration as we continue to build this program," Chadwell shared in the release.

"I am thankful for our coaching staff, support staff, and our players for believing in our vision and trusting what we are building here at Coastal Carolina. My family and I love this University and community and are excited to be a part of Teal Nation for years to come."

Chadwell was recently considered a candidate for the opening at South Carolina, and his success with the program has turned the heads of a number of programs that have, or had been considering, making a head coaching change.
