Up 21-7 against a tough, ranked Utah squad, Oregon State head coach Jonathan Smith wanted his team to be sure to milk the clock in the game's final moments.
To get his point across, he made a "milking" gesture first with his fingers and then with both of his hands and his chest.
Milk… the clock… Jonathan Smith is a literal guy: https://t.co/gxi2njIXXo

Video of the gesture quickly went viral.
Not surprisingly, some were apparently offended.
Smith apologized for the actions on Monday during his presser after recapping some of the good and bad that they saw on film from players.
"Not just looking at just our players on tape, looking at myself on tape in regards to how we signal plays at the end...we go to do things better there."
"For those I offended with that, I apologize. I won't be using that signal again."
