Kirby Smart spent the off season studying the mistakes of others (Georgia)

Every staff spends the off season looking for ways to get better, whether it be going to clinics, or visiting with other staffs or watching others practice.

Kirby Smart was asked what he did to improve this off season, and noted that he talked with a few other head coaches (that he didn't want to name), and then added an interesting nugget.

Smart noted that they "ordered a few things" through the athletic department to help them manage two minute situations better, and they studied how other teams managed two minute situations as well.

"Situations that occurred through the year in the NFL, and in college football. As a coach you're always trying to grow and you want to see how guys manage and mismanage situations so that when that situation comes up for you, you're more prepared."
