Tom Pelissero tweets this morning that Chargers wide receivers coach Phil McGeoghan is on a personal leave. He did not travel with the team to New Orleans for tonight's game.
McGeoghan is perhaps best known for his passionate talks to the wide receivers during film time on Hard Knocks. Pelissero adds that McGeoghan remains a part of Anthony Lynn's staff moving forward.
Coach McGeoghan
Everything is good. A Lynn wants me to put my family first. My son, daughter and myself have heart defects and my sons grandmother is battling breast cancer. I have work to do and will be back BETTER than ever. RISE!!!! https://t.co/1nQCVAwTFi
